We leveraged the new MTOW specifications to the fullest and designed our airplane to be exceptional not only in its flight characteristics but also in its dimensions, wing-span and fuel capacity (and hence its range), just to name a few.
As of now, we have the first couple of prototypes flying around in Czechia and we also began the certification process. It's a long journey, but we believe the result will be worth it!
My aviation journey and, consequently, the story of RA 100 Mercury began in 1996 when I married my wife Kateřina. Her brother, father and even her grandfather were all pilots. Ever since I was little, I had a passion for everything that had an engine and could move, so it didn't take long until I got inspired to take up flying as well.
I've met many amazing people on my way to gain flight experience and qualifications, some of which would later become my friends. A couple of us – test pilots, flight instructors, experienced aviators and all kinds of flight enthusiasts – banded together to make our shared dream come true — to build our own airplane.
